Who is behind jz.birds? That's me, Julian! Driven by a huge passion for graphic design and ornithology, I founded jz.birds back in 2018 in the charming city of Bielefeld, Germany. From the very beginning, my goal was to share my detailed bird illustrations with the world. Every single feather and vibrant color in our shop is painted with love and precision right at the computer in my jz.birds studio. I want to bring a little more of nature's charm into the everyday lives of bird lovers everywhere.
From classic nature to rocking backyard birds! While lifelike, classic bird illustrations are the true heartbeat of our shop, we also love to have a little fun. That is how our special "Backyard Birds" rock band collection was born!
We put together a seriously cool avian lineup: featuring Rowdy Robin (American Robin) on the microphone, Bassbird (Eastern Bluebird) keeping the rhythm on the bass, The Chordinal (Northern Cardinal) shredding the e-guitar, and Woodbarker (Woodpecker) laying down the beat on the drums. You can find these rocking characters on premium posters or bring the whole band to life yourself with our exclusive 11-illustration rock 'n' roll bird coloring book!
